Comprised of boys ages 10 to 14, the choir performs an extensive and diverse repertoire ranging from medieval music, motets, and lieder to masterworks by composers such as Mozart, Bruckner, Gluck and Schubert. What began as an imperial ensemble has evolved into a world-renowned institution and educational campus. Today, the Vienna Boys’ Choir operates as a private, nonprofit organization, supported primarily through concert performances as well as donations and sponsorships. The organization currently includes 90 active choristers divided among four touring choirs, which collectively perform nearly 300 concerts each year around the world. The URSC offers a 12-module, yearlong research development experience that moves students from research interests to measurable scholarly and professional outcomes. In each session, students will participate in a 40-minute, faculty-led didactic session, followed by two hours of guided, hands-on research support from experienced student research assistants. Faith communities often play a key role in recognizing warning signs and offering guidance. By fostering open conversations about mental health, faith communities can create a compassionate environment where individuals feel safe to seek help. Soul Shop is a training specific for faith communities to help start the conversation about suicidal desperation, respond with support and help facilitate connections to maintain safety. This training is seven hours and registration costs include a participant manual and supplementary materials of community resources. Lunch will be provided. Yun’s performances as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician have received critical acclaim throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Born in Seoul, Korea, Yun moved to the United States at the age of 6, where she continued her musical studies. An avid pedagogue, teaching has been an important and substantial part of Yun’s career. She has given master classes throughout the U.S. and worldwide, and she is currently professor of music and director of keyboard studies at Andrews University.
